Amotekun: Ondo Governor Reminds Malami He Has No Power To Make Laws

Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, stated in an interview with Channels Tv that legal guidelines will not be made within the workplace of the Lawyer-Normal of the Federation.

Akeredolu, who was reacting to the pronouncement of the AGF, Abubakar Malami, that the creation of Amotekun was unlawful, stated the South-West primary residents will reply when Malami offers related parts of the structure that oppose the creation of the outfit.

He stated, “One factor is obvious, legal guidelines will not be made within the workplace of the Lawyer-Normal; he can solely interpret the legal guidelines and provides positions of presidency on issues regarding the regulation.

“When he comes out with related parts of the regulation on the matter, we are going to take into account it and reply adequately because the regulation stipulates.”

Akeredolu, who’s a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, stated the governors had not but met to debate concerning the declaration of the AGF.

He added, “We now have not met, however I can guarantee you that after we meet, we are going to adequately reply to the place of the AGF.”
